MAB Base 10 Units 1000p

This multi base ten units set consists of 1000 units. It is a quality base ten set made from solid timber. Each unit measures 1 cm (L) x 1 cm (H) x 1 cm (W). Base 10 blocks are a versatile maths manipulative to introduce students to basic key maths concepts including addition, subtraction, number sense, place value and counting. They can also use the blocks to create different patterns. When longs are used in combination with other base ten units, flats or cubes, students can practice with addition and subtraction of larger numbers.

They are also great for free play and allows children to build structures with base ten. Use the different sized blocks for seriation or compare different lengths of the blocks or sets of blocks. Try to make a meter with different sized base ten blocks and make a square meter. Another use is to find out how many blocks you need. Also if you can find a way to use less blocks.
